7 secrets to confidence

 1. move our or your hometown

I'm 10! I can't! God bless you if you are 10 and you are reading this book. You are getting a great headstart in life!

But look around you, reader. What have you accomplished in life? did you go to college? Did you get married? did you have kids? did you go to the army? Some, if not most, of these things you probably did and you had to get up and off your couch right.

Leaving your hometown is something we all must do. Its not that if you don't leave your hometown you wont be successful, the hometown represents your comfort zone. Get out there, figure out who you are outside of your community.

It's hard to tell someone that used to change your diapers all the things that you are going to accomplish, especially if they haven't done it in their life. Get out! Get out now! other Theresa might not have had a car, but she had to leave in order to become Mother Theresa as we know her. TO get a college education, most of us have to leave our hometown. To meet the love of our lives (or your first and second wife) you might have had to leave your hometown. The friends you want, they probably live outside your hometown. The wealth you desire, you have to sell to people outside of your hometown.

The clothes you want, they probably were made outside of your hometown (hello, Italy and Paris!). Oh yeah, and workers in China. Most people that accomplished anything significant, they had to leave. Leave their comfort zone, their mothers, their fathers, their loved ones, leave possible spouses, to go after their dreams.

Yes, we all want to be able to accomplish our dreams and for it to come knocking in our doors (only the pizza delivery guy does that, and even then, you had to order the pizza first.) In life, you have to get out and do something new to accomplish something new. I know its scary. I know its uncomfortable. That's the point. Be scared, be uncomfortable. Everything you want is on the other side of those emotions.
